The ants keep attacking my kitchen because the rain floods them out of the front yard.  Anyway, so many projects, too much rain.

In Progress:

• Front yard – I need to install sprinklers in the front yard, grade, and plant grass seed.
• Back yard – This is very low priority, but I’ll probably install sprinklers when I get the trencher for the front yard.
• Plugs and light switches – I need to finish changing out the plugs and light switches in the house.  I have a 3 rooms and two bathrooms left to change out.

New Projects:

• Master bedroom – Install blinds that I bought two years ago.
• Master bathroom – Tear floor out, install tile, paint.
• Upstairs common bathroom – Paint.
• Front door – Fix/replace door jam, possibly replace door.  The door is still good, but I’m thinking of getting a nice looking door.
• Garage – Hang drywall, install garage door opener.

I know I have a ton more things to add to the lists.  This is just a beginning.

The original NOOK didn’t display images and websites all that well. One drawback on the color version though,  is that it doesn’t have 3G. No bigger, as I can tether it to my Droid X for 3G when I don’t have wireless available.

I hope Barnes & Noble adds more apps in the future, because this is a great tablet.

I like the size of the nook, and it’s very easy on the eyes. I bought the 3G/wifi model. I have to say i’m addicted to it. I’ve even spent less time on the computer because of it. I read a full book in two to three days.

It definitely won’t replace my Audible account, because i still listen to audio books in the car.

The only thing i don’t care for on the nook is the web browser. The e-ink makes websites look like crap. Then again, i could always buy a tablet pc if i wanted to browse the web on something that size. Which I’ll probably do anyway once a decent Android based tablet comes out.

Anyway, if you like reading and don’t want a crapload of books taking up shelf space, check out the nook or Kindle (affiliate links).

I’m not abandoning this blog. I just thought it would be better if the aquaria stuff was seperate.

I wasn’t able to take them home until this last tuesday, because they hadn’t been spayed/neutered yet. So they had surgery Monday.  Unfortunately, when i picked them up, they both had upper respiratory infections. So they came home with a prescription. They’re still sneezing and are somewhat congested, but I took them to the vet yesterday for a checkup, and the vet said to finish the medication, and if they get worse, bring them back.

I think they’ll be better in no time.

I’ve been thinking about going to a more simpler theme. The new default theme looks nice. I might change to that this week.

Update: I’ve changed the theme to the WordPress 2010 theme.  Still tweeking it though.

Full integration with Google Accounts (both Gmail and Google Apps)

Decent battery life (~6-8 hours heavy use)

Huge display screen
Social network integration
Clear calls

Dislikes:

If an app crashes, sometimes the phone will freeze and I’ll have to pull the battery. Doesn’t happen often.
Silicone case I bought for the phone (I know, non phone issue)
Ring tones and notification tones suck for the most part.

My mind kind of blanked while writing this, so I’m sure I’m going to update this quite a bit.  What are your likes/dislikes about the Motorola Droid X?

I must say that the Droid X is an awesome phone.  I haven’t had it long enough to do an in depth review of it, so I’ll just say that it is very comparable to the iPhone, and I love it.  I haven’t cancelled my AT&T service yet (I’m a procrastinator when it comes to these things), but will do so very soon.

One of the great features of the Android phones, is that I can fully integrate my Google Voice account with my phone.  I give out my Google Voice phone number, and calls automatically come to my phone, and outgoing calls are routed through as well.  I also have my voice mail going to Google Voice, so I get free visual voice mail, and they’re automatically transcibed for me.  Another good thing about Google Voice, is that I use it for SMS messaging, so I don’t have to pay extra for so many texts a month.

Overall it’s been a great experience with Android.  Do you have an Android phone, or an iPhone?
