So I made the jump from iPhone to Android. I’ve had an iPhone since the iPhone 3G came out (bought a first generation iPhone at that time). I then bought the iPhone 3GS when it came out. I like the iPhone a lot, but I like to try new things, and when the Motorola Droid X was announced, I had to have it.
I must say that the Droid X is an awesome phone. I haven’t had it long enough to do an in depth review of it, so I’ll just say that it is very comparable to the iPhone, and I love it. I haven’t cancelled my AT&T service yet (I’m a procrastinator when it comes to these things), but will do so very soon.
One of the great features of the Android phones, is that I can fully integrate my Google Voice account with my phone. I give out my Google Voice phone number, and calls automatically come to my phone, and outgoing calls are routed through as well. I also have my voice mail going to Google Voice, so I get free visual voice mail, and they’re automatically transcibed for me. Another good thing about Google Voice, is that I use it for SMS messaging, so I don’t have to pay extra for so many texts a month.
Overall it’s been a great experience with Android. Do you have an Android phone, or an iPhone?
